Privacy Policy

1. Who this policy covers

This Privacy Policy applies to the Temecula Wine Passport mobile app (the "App") available on the Apple App Store — an independent project created, owned, and operated solely by Dillon Haffner.

2. Information Collected

Information you provide directly

The App's optional "Moving?" tab lets you send Dillon a real-estate lead if you're relocating — it's entirely separate from using the rest of the App. If you fill it out, it collects:

• Your name
• Phone number
• Email address
• Either your property address (if selling) or the area you're searching in (if buying)
• Your general timeline for buying or selling

Nothing in this tab is required to use any other part of the App, and you're never asked for financial account numbers, a Social Security number, or similar sensitive identifiers.

Information collected automatically by the App

• Camera — used to run the App's AR stamp-hunt feature at wineries you've physically visited. Camera video is processed on your device in real time (via Apple's ARKit) to place and detect the virtual stamp; it is never recorded, stored, or transmitted anywhere.
• Precise location — used only to confirm you're actually at a winery (within roughly 150 meters) before unlocking that winery's stamp hunt, and to show nearby wineries on the map. Location is processed on your device and is never sold or shared with third parties.
• Collected stamps and favorites — stored on your device and synced through Apple's CloudKit, tied to your own private iCloud account, so your progress carries over to your other devices and survives a lost or replaced phone. This uses Apple's own infrastructure, lives in your private iCloud data — not a server Dillon Haffner operates or can access — and is never shared with anyone.

The App does not include any third-party analytics, advertising, or tracking SDKs, and does not use cookies (native apps don't have browser cookies).

3. How Your Information Is Used

Information collected by the App is used to:

• Run the App's core features — showing nearby wineries, confirming you're at one before unlocking its AR stamp hunt, and keeping your collected stamps in sync across your own devices
• Respond to your inquiry and follow up about buying or selling real estate, only if you choose to submit the Moving? tab

Your information isn't used to make automated decisions that produce legal or similarly significant effects on you, and it isn't used for advertising.

4. How your information is shared

Your information isn't sold. It's shared only in these limited circumstances:

• Apple — collected stamps and favorites sync through Apple's CloudKit, stored in your own private iCloud account under Apple's own privacy practices. Dillon Haffner has no access to this data.
• Web3Forms — if you submit the Moving? tab, that submission is processed by Web3Forms, a third-party form-delivery service, which routes it to Dillon Haffner's email inbox. Web3Forms only sees the data needed to deliver that email.
• Legal requirements — if required to comply with a subpoena, court order, or similar legal process.

No one outside of what's listed above has access to this data — it isn't shared with any other business Dillon Haffner is involved with.

5. Data retention

Collected stamps and favorites are kept for as long as you use the App, in your own private iCloud account. Deleting the App removes what's stored on that device; because that data syncs through your own iCloud account rather than a server Dillon Haffner controls, it can also be managed or cleared directly from your device's Settings app. A Moving? tab submission is kept only as long as reasonably needed to respond to your inquiry — use the contact details below to request earlier deletion.

6. Your choices & rights

California residents

If you're a California resident, the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), as amended, gives you the right to:

• Know what personal information has been collected about you
• Request deletion of your personal information
• Correct inaccurate personal information
• Opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information — the App does not sell personal information
• Not be discriminated against for exercising any of these rights

Everyone

Camera and Location access can be revoked at any time from your iPhone's Settings app for the App, without losing the ability to browse wineries or view collected stamps you already found. Deleting the App removes its data from that device.

7. Children's privacy

The App is about visiting wineries and is intended for adults. It is not directed at children, and personal information is not knowingly collected from anyone under 13.

8. Security

Reasonable steps are taken to protect App data, including relying on Apple's own CloudKit and on-device storage for anything the App keeps or syncs, and a reputable third-party provider (Web3Forms) for the Moving? tab's form processing. That said, no method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure, and absolute security can't be guaranteed.

9. Third-party services used in the App

The App uses Apple MapKit to display wineries on the map and to show a 3D aerial view of each winery, and Apple CloudKit to sync your collected stamps and favorites. Both run under Apple's own privacy policy. The optional Moving? tab is processed by Web3Forms. Reviewing their policies directly is recommended.

10. Changes to this policy

This policy may be updated from time to time as the App changes. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision. Continuing to use the App after an update means you accept the revised policy.
